Carbohydrates
There are two types of carbohydrate: simple and complex.

Simple Carbohydrates get absorbed quickly, sending glucose which the body uses as energy, straight into the blood stream. These simple carbohydrates can be naturally occurring or added.
​
Natural Sugars are found in nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables (see fruit & veg page). They contain fiber, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs to stay healthy. Simple Sugars which you will find listed above, lack these nutritious parts, giving us empty calories that can often lead to weight gain. They can give you a big spike of crazy energy which is often followed by a crash.

Complex Carbohydrates digest much slower, supplying a slow release of glucose energy into your bloodstream giving you steady energy for a prolonged time. As with the simple carbohydrates some are good, and some are not so good.
Whole Grains are more nutritious for the body and are found in foods such as brown rice and whole wheat pastas or breads. They are rich in fiber which helps you feel full and contain vital nutrients for your body. Refined Grains are processes which causes them to lose a lot of these healthy fibers and nutrients. White bread, white rice, and a lot of baked treats are examples of refined grain products.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO CONSIDER IN YOUR FOOD INVESTIGATIONS:
When someone starts to develop a food intolerance, it is very rarely the natural food that is causing the intolerance. Usually, the person is becoming intolerant to one or more of the herbicide or pesticide chemicals that have been used to grow the food. Quite often eating a cleaner organic source of the food in question can eliminate the intolerance problem.

Use the chart above to determine what type of carbohydrate your body requires more or less of to thrive.

1. Ask: Is there more than 1 type of carbohydrate that I need to discover?

If yes, ask: in TOTAL, how many types of carbohydrates do I need to discover? 2? 3?

Increase the number one by one until you get a yes answer.

If you reach 3 without getting a yes answer, ask: do I need to discover more than 3?

If yes, continue increasing the number until you get a yes.

If no you have gone past the correct number, either start again or use a process of elimination until you find the correct number of carbohydrates required.
2. Ask: Is the carbohydrate I need to discover in Column A?

If yes, it is in Column A.

If no, ask if it is in Column B. If yes, it is in Column B.

If no, it is in Column C.
3. Ask: Is it in an Odd Row?

If yes, it is in an Odd Row (1, 3, or 5).

If no, it is in an Even Row (2, 4, or 6).
4. For Odd, ask: Is it in Row 1?

Name odd rows one by one until you get a yes answer.
For Even, ask: Is it in Row 2?

Name even rows one by one until you get a yes answer.
5. Ask: Is it ______?

Test each carbohydrate in that box, one by one, until you get a yes answer.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 above for the number of carbohydrates that need to be discovered.

Once you have the carbohydrates required ask the following questions about each carbohydrate.
7. Ask: Do I need more of this carbohydrate?

If yes, using a process of elimination ask how often your body requires this carbohydrate.

For example: Do I need to eat this carbohydrate more than once a week? Etc.

If no, ask do I need to stop eating it altogether?
-
If yes, ask if a cleaner source of this carbohydrate would overcome the problem?
-
If yes, find a cleaner source of this carbohydrate.

You can use your muscle magic at the shop to find a cleaner source, or a brand that you will not be intolerant to.

Using a process of elimination ask how often you need to eat it?

If no, stop eating it.

If you don’t need to stop eating it altogether, if you just need to reduce your consumption of it, ask how often you need this carbohydrate using a process of elimination.

For example: Do I need to eat this carbohydrate more than once a fortnight? Etc.

8. Ask: Am I able to absorb this carbohydrate effectively?

If no, move to determining the malabsorption cause.

If yes, move to the healing intention.
Malabsorption Cause
Ask: Is there an underlying imbalance that is contributing to the malabsorption of this carbohydrate?

If no, move to healing intention.

If yes, hack IN and clear the cause of the malabsorption before proceeding with this clearing.
Healing Intention
Using common sense and with moderation, remove or add this carbohydrate to your diet.
– your notes may look something like this:
Lifestyle: nutrition – carbohydrate x 2 – soda + chips = adjust diet.
(soda – reduce to 2 x wk – chips – reduce to 4 x wk)
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOUR BODY IS ASKING FOR WHAT IT NEEDS TO PERFORM AT IT’S BEST.
If you don’t like the answer you get then try to find a healthier option. For example, you could swap soda for coconut water, or you could swap the chips with a more natural or an organic variety that does not have all the added chemicals. Our body does not have the tools to process chemicals, so it puts them in the fat cells and surrounds them with water which over time leads to toxic weight gain and disease if we don’t assist the body to detox the chemicals we consume, inhale and absorb.
