Nutrients

Vitamins and minerals are needed in every process your body carries out. They help build strong bones, fight infections, and they help us to get the energy from the food we eat. Vitamins and minerals support the growth of every cell in your body.

Vitamins come from plants and animals and fall into two categories:

Water Soluble vitamins are the C and B vitamins. They dissolve in water and can’t be stored by the body, any excess is escorted out the body, usually in your urine. Therefore, our body needs a fresh source of these vitamins every day

Fat Soluble vitamins include A, D, E, and K. They dissolve in fat and can be stored in your body.

Minerals come from the earth and can also be grouped into two categories:

Macro Minerals are minerals that your body needs in larger amounts like calcium and magnesium. 

Trace Elements on the other hand are required in micro amounts. Like iron, zinc, and copper.

Use the chart above to determine what type of vitamin or mineral your body requires more or less of to thrive.

Hack IN:-)

1. Ask: Is there more than 1 type of nutrient that I need to discover?

  • If yes, ask: in TOTAL, how many types of nutrients do I need to discover? 2? 3?

  • Increase the number one by one until you get a yes answer.

  • If you reach 3 without getting a yes answer, ask: do I need to discover more than 3?

  • If yes, continue increasing the number until you get a yes.

  • If no you have gone past the correct number, either start again or use a process of elimination until you find the correct number of nutrients required.

 

2. Ask: Is the nutrient I need to discover in Column A?

  • If yes, it is in Column A. 

  • If no, ask if it is in Column B. If yes, it is in Column B.

  • If no, it is in Column C.

 

3. Ask: Is it in an Odd Row?

  • If yes, it is in an Odd Row (1, 3, or 5).

  • If no, it is in an Even Row (2, 4, or 6).

 

4. For Odd, ask: Is it in Row 1?

  • Name odd rows one by one until you get a yes answer.

For Even, ask: Is it in Row 2?

  • Name even rows one by one until you get a yes answer.

 

5. Ask: Is it ______? 

  • Test each nutrient in that box, one by one, until you get a yes answer.

 

6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 above for the number of nutrients that need to be discovered.

  • Once you have the nutrients required ask the following questions about each nutrient.

 

7. Ask: Do I need more of this nutrient?

  • If yes, using a process of elimination ask how often your body requires this nutrient.

    • For example: Do I need to eat this nutrient more than once a week? Etc.

  • If no, ask do I need to stop eating it altogether?

    • If yes, ask if a cleaner source of this nutrient would overcome the problem?

      • If yes, find a cleaner source of this nutrient.

        • You can use your muscle magic at the shop to find a cleaner source, or a brand that you will not be intolerant to.

        • Using a process of elimination ask how often you need to eat it?

      • If no, stop eating it.

  • If you don’t need to stop eating it altogether, if you just need to reduce your consumption of it, ask how often you need this nutrient using a process of elimination.

    • For example: Do I need to eat this nutrient more than once a fortnight? Etc.

 

8. Ask: Am I able to absorb this nutrient effectively?

  • If no, move to determining the malabsorption cause.

  • If yes, move to the healing intention.

Malabsorption Cause

Ask: Is there an underlying imbalance that is contributing to the malabsorption of this nutrient?

  • If no, move to healing intention.

  • If yes, hack IN and clear the cause of the malabsorption before proceeding with this clearing.

Healing Intention

Using common sense and with moderation, remove or add this nutrient to your diet.

 

– your notes may look something like this:

Lifestyle: nutrition – vitamins & minerals x 1 – vit C = consume better brand + eat more citrus and broccoli.

(find a better-quality brand at health shop - 3 x wk + consume more foods high in vit C – 3 x wk)
